Design philosophy: refine the familiar 2012 local café website into something calmer, sharper, and more durable. Core beliefs: trust comes from readable pages, real photography, modest hierarchy, and information that feels owner-maintained. Strict rules: light navbar, full-width 80vh hero with soft window-light photography, serif headline, one charcoal CTA, one plain text menu link, centered welcome headline beneath, menu as a simple printed list, and location with address, hours, directions, and phone. Typography philosophy: use Merriweather, Libre Baskerville, or Georgia for headings with Lato, Cabin, or Source Sans 3 for UI. Palette: crisp white, frost gray, soft slate, charcoal, muted raspberry accent. Spacing: generous but familiar, never gallery-sterile. Motion: only simple hover darkening and fade-ins. Imagery: steamed windows, cakes, counter details, street frontage. Refuses badges, icons, stickers, gradients, beige, and faux rustic props. Mediocre implementation: a generic café page with weak stock photos. Common mistakes: centered everything, cramped menu rows, oversized hero text.
