Pale Blue High Street Notice
/paleBlueHighStreetNotice
Design philosophy: create a local-business landing page that feels like a careful café notice pinned beside the till, translated into a world-class web rhythm. Core beliefs: approachable design can still be precise; hierarchy should come through whitespace, type scale, dividers, and useful section order. Strict rules: white navbar, full-width 80vh hero with real exterior or counter photography, restrained headline, one deep-petrol CTA, one understated menu link, centered welcome section, owner-style feature blocks, menu as a tidy notice list, and location with opening hours made unmistakable. Typography philosophy: use PT Serif, Literata, or Spectral for headings with Work Sans, Lato, or IBM Plex Sans for supporting text. Palette: paper white, pale blue-gray, cool smoke, petrol blue, charcoal, small cherry accent. Spacing: generous but not luxurious; sections should feel hand-maintainable. Motion: basic fades only. Imagery: frontage, pastries, staff hands, morning light. Refuses SaaS cards, gradients, icons, badges, beige, and artificial lifestyle gloss. Mediocre implementation: bland blue café template. Common mistakes: weak image crops, low-contrast gray text, decorative noticeboard gimmicks.
