Slate Rose Counter Classic
/slateRoseCounterClassic
Design philosophy: create a familiar local café page with the steadiness of an owner-updated 2013 website, sharpened through contemporary spacing and type discipline. Core beliefs: trust comes from useful information, honest photography, and a restrained accent used only for action. Strict rules: light navbar, 80vh full-width hero with counter or shopfront photography, slate-rose CTA, plain secondary link, centered welcome headline beneath, compact authentic social proof line, alternating feature sections, one slate-rose background band with white text, printed menu list, and clear location details. Typography philosophy: pair Avenir Next, Gill Sans Nova, or Humanist 521 with Source Sans 3 or Lato; modest headline scale, strong body readability. Palette: white, cool fog gray, graphite, slate rose, ink black, tiny leaf-green accent. Spacing: generous but builder-familiar. Motion: opacity and underline hovers only. Imagery: cakes, till counter, doorway, regulars’ tables. Refuses badges, icons, gradients, beige, review widgets. Mediocre implementation: generic pink café page. Common mistakes: too much rose, weak contrast, cramped menus.
